Obituary -- Tom Osgood [1975]

I am very, very sad to report that Tom Osgood, West Springfield class of '75, died some years ago. I am not certain, but I think it was in 1987. He died suddenly of heart trouble, and I don't think he suffered long. He was one of the most brilliant people we will ever know, and a good and true friend.

Following graduation from West Springfield, Tom went to college in West Virginia. He then fulfilled two of his most cherished joys in life, designing and writing computer software was one, and the other was driving and travelling. He alternated both for ever better pay all the time. He was very good at both. He drove all over North America, and saw more of our world in his short life than most of us ever will.

He was unmarried, but survived by his loving mother and many loving friends whose lives he touched over the years.
